Goodell recently completed a printmaking workshop in Santa Fe, NM. This collection of monotypes was produced as part of her coursework.
In her own words:
These prints are about air and land. They are about seasons, locations and a moment in time. As I worked on these prints I thought about Asian art. I began to think of these prints as visual haiku. Here the visual is a form of writing. Like the Japanese poetry form of haiku, each print captures a moment in time. The landscape with the open areas of sky and space allows viewers to interpret and feel the moment for themselves.
